Keep Your Marriage Review

I received a shorter version of Keep Your Marriage when I bought Michael Webb's Relationship Collection. I found this book to be helpful for the person who wants to work through making improvements to their marriages over a period of time.

No magic cures. Just a good, solid, well planned process to follow.

If you are looking for an e-book that would give you immediate help in dealing with a crisis involving adultery, I would believe Bob Huizenga's e-book Stop the Affair, might help give you more timely help in breaking the immediate crisis as well as working through it effectively and preventing a similar relapse in the future.

However, Keep Your Marriage is less pricey, and if you get it, I would recommend blocking time out immediately to get through the initial assessment and into the second chapter quickly but not sacrificing thoroughness for speed. The reason I feel her initial assessment is so vital is it helps you break the confusion, get hold of what you want to accomplish, get vision, and have confidence. Then the materials in the following chapters will be more meaningful and easier to retain and make part of your way of life.

In the second chapter, Wasson goes into mistakes many people make when faced with a marriage crisis. Costly, dangerous, potentially marriage wrecking mistakes. Most people would never want to make those kinds of mistakes, but they are very common.

Overall, if you take the time to go through her book, you will be able to lay out a plan that will change your life, improve your relationship skills, and possibly save your marriage. But please don't misunderstand me when I say this because one of the important things to remember is if your spouse is doing something wrong, it is not your fault. It isn't because you have done something wrong. Each person makes his or her own choices. But, a marriage crisis requires certain specific kinds of relationship skills, and her book will help you develop those over time.

So, if you get this book and apply it, you should see some immediate improvements as well as some long term ones. Whether your marriage is saved or not, I am sure you will not be sorry you took the time to learn and apply what she has to offer.
